This is the tameshigiri portion of the demonstration of classical Japanese swordsmanship by the Ryushinkan Dojo at the 2018 Arizona Matsuri Festival of Japan. Dan Keupp is the head instructor at the Ryushinkan Dojo and is the final cutter in this video.
They cut with long katanas in that school of swordsmanship. The shortest length blade that they use is 30 inches and the longest is 36 inches. As you can see in this video, these are big swords and they have an interesting way of performing noto (sheathing the sword).
Note: Dan Keupp was cutting with a metal rod in his leg as he had broken it badly 2 months ago!

Single Mugen Dachi mats on the upright stands and two double mat rolls on the horizontal stand.

Unique style of noto for sure, that pinch seems to invite disaster, but they made it work. The use of a longer katana from seiza was fairly impressive, especially the crouched manuvering beginning around the 6 min mark. Tricky to use a larger sword in those sorts of situations.
