That's sweet! The guard goes great with that blade. Nice job. What is the handle wrapped with?

thank you everyonewell the guard is from a very old "black prince"sword i got at a ren fair in virginia , i bent the guard so each sid ecame along side of blade (on tthe B,P) and for this i cut off one side and sanded it smooth and sanded it flat wear it would come to point facing up tword blade , now facing down the handle-tsuka(not sure what it would be now,,lol) is standard chenesse replacement one, but i didnt want it to fail while being used( fates forbid, i wouldnt want some one hurtor myself) so i had and idea, i tookthe hole thing apart even the rayskin, i hand some nice thick stuff from a masihiro i wanted for strength(explain later) now at bare wood i coated with wood epoxy nice and think but not gloppy then the ray skin, and wrapped tight in cloth, then moor epoxy ;D then another super tight layer of clothfor some reason i used linen, thinking it would mesh over each other , like old greek armor. then i put riser on them final wrap, i did cheat with the end cap and hilt, is just laced thro holes and held down under last layer of wrap the pins are now chicago screws, ill explain they are a 2 part device, one side flat and has post with threads in it, other part has flat head screw on it and well its a screw kinda,,lol, they work well but also act like a clamp, i didnt want it to crush wood , so thats why i used the real thick ray skin ;)they do sit alil at an angle but it presses into the cloth and remains flush and i have not herd rattels or loosening yet, tho only cut a few days now with it ;D the end cap on saya came from an old viking sword,,looh and i did have to cut off alil bit of the tsuka to shorten it,its 10 inchs now

looks awsome man. I've wanted something like that my self for a while. always liked the saberish mounts on a katana blade.

cost to buy? i couldnt, lol my babby,,lol to make im not sure how i would figure that i had the shura, needed new grip, and the guard had been kicking around on one beater or another for a few years now. so i just gave it a shot, tho i did draw it out on paper first to see if i liked it . next one ide like it to have the scimitar flare at the top. i gotta learn how to make blades ,,lol
