I've used paracord for lacing lamellar. It works well, but it works best if you pull out the filling so that the cord lies flat. I find that this greatly reduces any wear from the holes in the lames.

lmgtfy.com/?q=paracord+stretchOne reason some doing grip wraps remove the core filaments is the amount of stretch. Yes, paracord stretches. It stretches to a point and then snaps. One is unlikely to break a single line in the context of what is being discussed, whether gutted or not. Gutted cord will make for a stiffer flexibility (less stretchy after being pulled tight). A T-10 has 30 cords, so one is not stretching just one when jumping

Finished my pieces. The bracer is tied on top of a cut resistant sleeve. Twice the protection

That's pretty bad-ass, Djinn! I've often thought of making 'dragon-scale' armor out of garage sale and flea-market spoons. One is only limited but by the constraints of their imagination!!!

Thanks man! I considered making my own plates once, but I need a drill press. Buying the pieces online was just easier for me, though would be costly if I wanted a full set of armour

Just look at a few of my other posts about Mytholon armor from Medieval Collectibles. If you choose wisely and pay attention to sizing, you can have a full suit of plate for CHEAP...and it's good stuff!

Djinn, check out Whitney punches. For lamellar thicknesses, they work wonders, and the cost is much lower than a drill press.
