Longship Armoury spatha

Hello everyone,
I've been lurking on SBG for years now, and have finally decided to come on board (time & again). And what better way, indeed, than to showcase my latest commission - my pride and joy:
This Roman spatha, my first commission from Longship Armoury, started its life as a Mainz gladius à la the Albion Augustus (but with pattern welding). Along the way, I then became absolutely smitten with Patrick Barta's swords, in particular that denoted as the Einang type. James & John at Longship were most kind to accommodate to my whim, and fast forward a year this baby landed on my doorstep.
Needless to say my mind was blown. It was by very far the most beautiful sword I've ever held. At 85 cm & approx 900 gr, it's fairly light & nimble, allowing for prolonged use; yet at the same time with a width of about 5 cm at base, its blade presence is absolutely beastly. Test cutting against the succulent plants in my backyard proved no challenged whatsoever.
The bear paw etching I'm well aware is not historically accurate, but it is a personal touch that makes this my very own, unique sword, and no other's. Even my wife, who sadly despises my obsession with pointy-ended objects, was very grudgingly impressed with the spatha overall. With luck (and the wife's *ahem* blessing), I certainly hope this will not be my last order with Longship.
I've attached a couple more pictures below for your viewing pleasure. Please excuse the poor quality in some of the shots; my phone's camera is on its last legs, it seems.
Cheers,
Edit: Apologies for the image size stretching the screen; how do I re-size the attachments, please?
