I have said repeatedly that I am a tall skinny guy and most people don't take a second look at me because they don't think I am worth the bother. Random: Next time I'll bung one on for Ric: Thanks alot mate Lemon: I did but I figure there is nothing wrong with karma as long as it is given for genuine reasions. Sorry about the demonstration and the fact that you couldn't see most of it, next time I will do it alot better. If there is more call for instructional vids I'd be happy to make some more. Just let me know if there is anything you guys would like to see and I will see if I can facilitate it.

(kidding, of course) Nah, no need. While I admit I was disappointed, there's no need to go overboard. Let's just see some cutting, already. ;D

Random: Yeah I am just trying to decide the best way to do it, I don't currently have a cutting stand so I might have to tie some bottles up and do some filming.

I don't currently have a cutting stand . You should see my wheelie bin. The lid is almost cut in half, with little tabs of tin rivetted to it to hold it together, haha. ;D Great work on the vid BW. I think the photobucket viewer makes you even more beanpolish. You look like some sort of whispy tolkienish creature ;D A MA technique demo vid would be cool. +1

Thanks for the vid +1
Keep them coming. I am curious about your stand design too.
It was great to see you - you ARE tall

Bren: Actually that is how I look in real life, that video is true to form. I am an elf! Without the ears possibly? You used your wheelie bin as a cutting stand? Hmmm, I guess I do have five of the things but it does restrict the cuts one can do. Deb: I am trying to get my stand put together to see if it is a feasible idea, I don't see why it wouldn't work though. Yes I am tall, 6'4" now I just have to put on some weight

Just wanted to let you all know, if anyone is looking for the link to the video review I have now put it at the end of the main review so it is easier to find.

I like the updated review.
It is amazing how much work you can have done by Chinese 2c labour. Consider how many many hours went into the creation of this beautiful sword. And GG wouldn't still be in business if they weren't making money on those auctions. Then add shipping, and factory margins. Then figure out what those labourers make for their time. I'm not getting on a soap box because everything I see is exactly the same. Crazy.
BTW BW I think it states the steel type on the certificate that comes with the sword. I think mine were 1060.

Just noticed their latest listing for the Sakura on ebay. Yup, it is 1060. Have you chopped some stuff up yet?

I just bought a Sakura on a Global Gear Ebay auction. I got mine a bit cheaper than you, though. I was impressed by your sword. You wrote that the blade gave the appearance of a master's hand, do you think the same guy would make the same sword or do you think you got a particularly good one ie. above standard?
Would it be redundant to write a review of the one I'm getting or do you think it wold be helpful to examine differences in two productions of the same model?

The more views of the same thing, the better. Go for it.

It had it's first outing today against several different types of bottles and boy was it amazing, no damage to the blade whatsoever and it must've cut through at least 22 bottles with it.
