I just bought my first sword! I bought The Noble from Valiant Armoury. I now need to buy a wall mount. I’d like to display it in my office at my house. I have kids so I need something safe but I want it to look nice too. Please steer me in the right direction. Thanks!

Take a look at the bottom of my collection post. (1st post). I use them and they are elegant and beautiful. And protect from UV. And throw in a silica pod and you have some atmospheric moisture control. If you like them send me a PM and I will send some links. sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/50025/veritys-armouryA VA piece deserves a good display.

It's hard to do better than these if you really want to look classy.

I’ll also say I include links in the comments in my armoury thread as well as to where to get them.
Both SF Display and DisplayGifts sell their wares on Amazon as well if you would rather order from amazon. Which is what I usually do.

Pic of some of Verity's swords in display cases. My goal is to do the same at home and the office. ....maybe some kind of art gallery lighting as well?

I have about 7 more cases to mount on this wall that are sitting in a closet. I’m going for that “picture collage” look but with sword cases on this wall. The wall is HUGE and goes up about 22 ft... (vaulted ceilings). I plan to eventually have the whole wall collaged. Here is another angle showing the room for expansion:

I really like how your medieval sword display boxes are vertical and your katana boxes are horizontal. Very nice!

How often do you have to take them out to clean/oil them? I assume the case helps a lot especially if you have desiccant inside the case.

I am super OCD so I do it about 1x a month regardless for every sword. But you could probably push much longer.

I can second Verity's case suggestion. I have two and love them: (not sure why picture rotated....)

Both are Nihonto. The bottom one is his Ishido I think... right Verm? (Verm and I are members of the Nihonto collecting community as well)

Top is his Kanemasa and bottom is his 2nd gen Tameyasu (he and I share a trait in that we both own blades by this smith)

Verity is correct on my swords. As we are brothers in arms, he knows.

I’m in north Houston, which is super humid Looks like I will be oiling a lot too. I’m really ocd with my guns so I’m sure I’ll be the same with my swords. No biggie I enjoy it really.

Definitely a moderately sealed case like this, and a pack or two of desiccant will cut down on the amount that you need to do so.
