Hmmm.... I would buy it if it was a longer blade. Shouldn't these have longer blades? Actually, that's 34 inches, which is average for a lot of eastern euro LCs. Officers can order their own, and I've seen some 1882 with 36 inch blades.

bfoo2 has my 1845/1855. I don;t recall it being that long - maybe 32 inches, though officers did always have some leeway into their equipment. 32 is pretty standard for infantry sword length. The equivalent 1845/1855 sword for junior infantry officers has a 32-ish blade
