Katana seem to go out of fashion in TV Series. In Dark Matter and Into the Badlands I've seen straight single edged swords or sabers which I assume are of Chinese origin. Also I've seen Lancelot Chan use such swords in his clips. What's the name of this sword/saber, looking like a straight katana a bit? After a little search I think they might be "Zhibeidao", or is there a modern name, ... or am I totally wrong (not unusual)?? or here:

Some were called Tang Dao, some were Han dynasty dao. Tibet sword was also straight dao. Qing dynasty beidao was also relative straight. Plus there're Korean sword that were straight dao shape.

Thank you! The first link I knew already, it brought me to the Zhibeidao. Tangdao has an interesting connection to the early straight Japanese Chokuto swords. All those are relative old sword designs.

Straight bladed swords were also made in Korea, and I think in some neighbouring countries of China as well such as those in Indo China. Sorry cannot remember the names.
