I've got one that someone gave me as a Christmas gift a few years back. I stripped the black paint, reground the flats to give it a true wedge shaped profile, and put it on a 30" handle. Even after losing that bit of material it's a heavy beast. Soft edge too, but not unexpectedly so for a something marketed as a thrower. But it did clean up really nicely and it looked a zillion times better just after having the paint stripped. It's plenty of fun for the price.

Unless you are just really stuck on that particular axe, you'd be much better off with a Cold Steel Norse Hawk. Remove the butt-ugly black paint, sand and stain the haft, add your own deco...done deal. And CHEAPER!....Chris
