dj is proving to be a very valuable member, her posts are always well thought out and well articulated. The statement that started it sounds like me when I was in high school, thank God that those days are so far behind me I don't even remember them anymore. Xen: Life get's better after high school trust me

blood, if you don't remember them how do you know this sounds like you? Edit- it appears that Xeno hasn't been online since his last post in this thread. maybe we were too hard on him all piling on that way. I hope we didn't drive him off and I hope he hasn't killed anyone

Dude stop being a victim. There's always going to be people you don't sync with. Thats the world, get used to it. FYI: I've been around the whole world already at the age of 16. (I'm now between 18-19) It was a just story and you have to jump on and bite me? If it's like that then i'll stop telling them as i don't know how you westeners do it. No, no, no.... Guys this is just a misunderstanding. I just asked how to increase one's killing intent. If you're all gonna say about i'm pathetic etc then don't bother answering. I'll have you know i have a good school life, it's just that every teenager/ person has someone he hates, right? Well, i kinda regret posting this thread, so forgive me if i offended anyone. And +1 dj for a good story.

Why would you want to increase your killing intent? The idea that you would want to raise the intent to cause harm to others says a lot about you - or at least where you are - philosophically speaking.
I don't think you're a bad guy at all - but I think you're coming from a spot that's not so powerful. Everybody has sh*t inside 'em. If we feel the world is out to get us and beat us down, and we respond to that by wanting to be bigger and badder than everyone else to keep us 'safe', that's really just adding fuel to the fire - it's not resolving anything.
That's what the others were trying to say, i think. Particularly the post about being a victim.
really - this world is NOT about winners and losers, but people look at it that way, and it leads to this attitude of not wanting to feel small - you want to feel big, or powerful. You want to be able to just look at people and crush them so they don't mess with you...
It is better to be compassionate.
Already in your post you've revealed where you're coming from - you feel attacked ("It was a just story and you have to jump on and bite me?"). And you responded to that (" i don't know how you westeners do it."). Right there you broke the connection that we share as human beings - you created a separateness between you and 'us westerners'.
Everybody here comes from the same place in the same way - regardless of philosophical background or whatever you believe or don't believe. There is no 'us' and 'them' or 'me' and 'you'. These are illusions we create for ourselves because we don't want to give up our uniqueness - it's scary to admit that we all are the same - but if you come from a place that can acknowledge the fact that we are all the same, and yet also unique beings at the same time, there isn't this conflict of wanting to be 'better' than someone else or this fear that motivates the desire to scare others into submission.
I hope you don't take this as an attack - as it isn't meant that way at all. I also hope that you don't feel ganged up upon from the other posts, as I'm sure they were motivated by genuine concern for your well-being.

To ask such a qustion in a online form is foolish,You'll only build bad karma for yourself,(in your life). To be that "guy" who draws eyes on himself by projecting a dark aura, puts YOU at risk."To find inner happyness and peace is the greatest gift"

Its interesting this killing intent thing. I've had people stop sparring matches because they said that the look on my face is disconcerting as it looks like I really intend to kill them. Hehe I personally have no idea what this look looks like, but my girlfriend also mentioned that when she sees me practice a dreadful look comes over my face. The interesting part is that I really don't have any killing intent, I'm just concentrating very hard - visualising my enemy in forms and trying to see what his next move is going to be in sparring. People have mentioned the same look not when I'm angry, but when I'm speaking to them about serious matters. The reason I mention all this is because it just goes to show that this image has nothing to do with my killing intent but more with my determination and concentration. So I think that Xeno might be looking for it in the wrong places. My advice? Focus when you practice AT ALL TIMES. It is your determination to reach perfection in your art and your goals that shows through to others. A look of pure hatred and killing intent does not awaken fear or respect in me (some people have this) but a look of pure determination and cold concentration is both inspiring and terrifying at the same time. Just my 2 cents

Guys, I think we need to take a step back from the whole raising killing intent thing. I don't think Xan meant to come across the way it did, we do the same sort of thing in ninjitsu as part of our training but that is a very specific situation where someone is trying to sense someone else about to attack them. The person who is simulating the attack attempts to raise their "killing intent." The problem with it though is that if you do it too often it can become second nature. I think when doing any training you should be at peace with yourself and your surroundings, anything else and you start to make mistakes.

I agree with bloodwraith,....we have done the same kind of training in class as said above, for me the key is inner peace.

In Japanese Sword arts the ideal is to develop certain faculties.
Zanshin is where we come to a state of alertness. Is to become a total sensing organ and every part of our being is engaged. Mushin is where we do not fix on anything with our thoughts because when we do we are focussed on one thing and we stop the constant flow of awareness. Our repetitive training eventually leads us to to act without thinking about what happens next.
Fudoshin is where we become unflappable and nothing disturbs our calm.
Going to battle needs these things as all know that there will probably be killing.
But if you have a state of mind that is all about intending to kill, you have just lost your Zanshin and particularly you Mushin and also your Fudoshin.
In a way you have just defeated yourself.
PS. The explanations of these terms is rather basic and in no way have I personally developed these states of mind

the only way to raise killing intent is to make the choice to kill no soldier or martial artist wants to kill that is a mark of true evil Sadly that is not true, some get to liking it too much.
