Recently I have been on a fighting knife line of thought, and when ever I get on this line of thought I always come back to the Bowie or the Navaja. Now that I have my Bowie, I'm thinking about getting a Navaja. But I would really like to find a book on fighting with the Navaja. And old Spanish text or what not. It just really intrigues me, the Spanish fighting Navaja. Does anyone know of any books on fighting with the Navaja? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navaja

Nothing on books or the like, but I've got a few small navaja that I rather like plus one bigger, but not nearly the size of that illustration. I'm led to believe those were either exceptionally rare or show pieces. I also don't acknowledge Cold Steel'em Espada or Spyderco's "navaja" as, well, navaja. Not even decent representations of the style, modernized or not. Decent knives without the association, though. Expository and JJ Martinez are good brands btw.

Some years back on another forum someone who was a navaja collector posted a most informative article which also showed his collection with some sources. Sorry that I cannot remember more other than I found it all interesting.
