Yup i too thought this looks amazing, but I dont trust deepeeka ' quality for that price, and it's heavy

Heavy with reverse taper. I had the Del Tin one like it and it was a very heavy 1-hander. Weights are about the same.

No offence to anyone here but I would never pay that kind of money for a Deepeeka.

Good looking piece for a Deepeeka, but that's waaaay too much money for a half-blunt wallhanger. I'm kinda liking the new William Wallace great sword though. If I could be assured that it has a decent tang, I might just have to get one.

Deepeeka seems to be really aggressive about their production these days. They've also got a line of crossbows out. As others say though I'm skittish about them. Esp. with higher priced items. OTOH the way production works over there, these could be coming from a completely new set of makers.

I wonder if they've decided to treat the rest of their range like they've done with their Roman gear ,apparently the new stuff is pretty good now.

I've had the same reaction to some of the swords they have been releasing lately. Their fit and finish makes you do a double take since you cannot believe that such a nice looking sword can have that Deepeeka logo on it. This one in particular caught my eye: www.kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=PRS405&name=Deluxe+Gold%2DInlay+Seax+of+Beagnoth+with+Wooden+Wall+Mount+and+Leather+ScabbardEven though it looks great, $800 is too much for a sword that will only sit on a wall. I like my swords to functional even if I never intend to use it. That Viking sword is no different. It comes unsharpened. I am unsure why KoA does not offer a sharpening service for it but that just signals a red flag in my eyes.

If I remember correctly KoA doesn't offer a sharpening service for Deepeeka because they usually have super thick edges, but they'll sharpen them for 30 bucks I've read.
