Hello there.
I was wondering, how does one go about wearing a daisho?
Typically in Japanese culture, you'd see that left goes over right. Does this apply to the swords?
And how is the sageo tied around the waist? Haven't found any reliable methods.
Thank you.

In go-rin-no-sho musashi says to wear the wakizashi (always goes first, far as I know) across the stomach (I believe) and the katana tucked at the waist.
Not familiar with any sageo tying.

Regarding the Sageo, there are many ways of doing this. Here is what I was taught.
Take both strands of the Sageo in front of you to the right side of your belt knot. About the inside of your hip bone. Insert your thumb behind the Hakama Himo, hook your Sageo using your thumb and pull it up making a loop at the top of your Hakama. Leaving enough of the end of the Sageo to make another loop in front of you Hakama and put that loop through the loop that is behind. Pull the end closest to your Saya tight so the Sageo does not come apart and you are done.
To untie, pull the loose end of the Sageo.
