I been thinking of a name for this group since you posted this. I haven't come up with anything satisfactory, but this is what I got An necromancer assassins cult. Dedicated to death and destruction. They desire to bring back a long dead and forgotten god of destruction that they believe was sealed away long ago. They use powers of shadow and sacrifice commoners they abduct in order to summon dark forces to life. They are also cannibals They are called: The Dead Hand of the Dark Ones A bit long yes. But some just refer to them as the Dead Hand They summon anomalies, using the blood of abducted citizens, from dark corners of space time. The only thing these beings cannot move through is rounded surfaces, as they can only move in angles. They are attracted by those in distress, filled with negative emotions, and feed of their spiritual life force (mana, or equivalent) till they die They wear dark hooded capes, over minimalist black armor, wielding pointed daggers. They also wear masks, to obscure their face and origin. The Dead Hand calls to unique individuals from any back ground. They are chosen by the Dark Ones to be part of this cult (My drawing skill seemed to degrade after the Corvo picture lol. I will make something good again someday)

My suggestion for an organisation.
The Alchemist, Mage, and Smith Register for Referrals and Collaboration. Also known as The Register.
This organisation is part consumer panel, part tradesman's forum, and part advertising firm.
It was started by a blacksmith who had a talent for weaponsmithing, but little in the way of magical ability. In order to have his weapons enchanted he had hired the aid of a local wizard. However said wizard was not particularly reliable, and often unavailable at inconvenient times. After disappointing a client due to the wizard's un-notified absence, the smith began looking around for a replacement to hire.
He found a replacement the next town over, and after a chat the two found they shared similar problems. The wizard had ideas for magical experimentation on items, but after a few of the items he borrowed from the townsfolk were liquefied, jellied, or given legs, he had to rely on commissions from the local smith who was often unavailable and had little experience in making anything but pans, knives, and horseshoes. While the Imperial Mages and the Arch Wizards of Lhasa had all the resources of empires behind them, a small-town Wiz had to make due with the best materials and craftsmanship he could find.
The two started collaborating frequently, the smith making custom parts, tools, and items; the wizard providing enchantments and magical advice. After a journey abroad the wizard told his smith friend of similar tales his wizarding associates had spun him of the same sort of problems. Deciding to capitalize on a need what needed filling, they bought a shop and a printing press, hired a secretary, and began compiling a bimonthly letter of classified ads and appeals from and to mages, smiths, and eventually alchemists in the surrounding towns.
The register has grown slightly, it's still a single building, albeit it now owns the upper two floors as well, and for a small fee one can both receive the letter and send advertisements for specific projects. There is a meeting hall on the lower level, and some workshops as well where prospective collaborators can meet and plot out designs, spells, and devices; and above there are presses and files of persons subscribed to the register containing their specialties, reviews, locations, and expected rates.
There have been many successful collaborations (and a few disastrous ones) that have begun with an ad in The Register, and you happen to be a wizard, smith, or alchemist of the more rural variety and you find yourself growing increasingly envious of your friends in the big cities and their privates smithies, and runecrafters, and government provision - perhaps an ad in The Register is a good place for you to start too?
The Register - "Quality enchantment isn't just for nobles."

Needed - Silversmithe A Silversmithe is needed for a job simple in nature, yet requiring utmost precision: 1 tea-kettle, made to exact measurement and specification. No engravings or embellishment, but exact dimensions are most important. Payment of 2 Igp upon delivery.
- The Wizard, Svensivf Tower north of Stormgrave, with the copper fish weathervane.
Needed - Alchemist experienced in metallurgy I need an alchemist to assist me with the creation of an alloy I think could serve as a substitute for unobtainium. I have a sample of the material made by my apprentice, he says he accidentally dropped his fiance's ring into the kiln, it don't matter to me why but I don't know the metal or the stone - he said it was "silver metal with a blue stone". If you could take a look; dip it in a potion or whatever and tell me what it was he added I'd be much obliged, to the tune of 10 silver - 40 if it works out the way I hope.
- Farnam Smith Lakeside smithy, pondpass
Needed - Wizard of Broad Experience Two weapon enchantments; no questions asked. Payment 20 Igp. Half now, half on delivery.
- Anonymous Behind The Goose and Toad Inn, Chillpass, Twyr's day nights. Come alone.

GUILD NAME: Ochkros Quill An artist/mercenary guild identified by their bright golden sashes and their paired sword and dagger. In times of peace the guild members produce illuminated manuscripts and a variety of martial treatises. During times of war they hire themselves out as skilled soldiers or bodyguards. Many historical accounts of prior wars owe greatly to the guild's members keeping detailed journals full of illustrations that are compiled in times of peace into illustrated chronicles. They see themselves as chroniclers rather than an artist/mercenary guild and justify going to war as being at the events that will shape the future and thus need to be recorded for posterity. As members raise their rank in the guild they are given more splendid sashes. New members wear a simple yellow sash. Embroidery and decoration is added as they gain reputation, with the highest members having grandiose sashes adorned with gilt thread and precious gems. Their swords are a short messer-like sword with a knucklebow and a matching knife. They have simple blackened iron fittings with bone or antler handles. Members' weapons are never to be adorned as they are tools not decorations. Finely crafted and functional but never beyond practical. Every member is expected to be able to read and write in addition to being able to draw, paint, and do calligraphy. Fencing is seen as an extension of the finesse needed to be an artist. Former and disgraced members often become counterfeiters. While this is frowned upon by the guild no official action is taken unless the former member continues to wear the yellow or carry their swords. They have guild headquarters located in a number of major cities across nations. In order assure their records are kept safe, they keep full copies of all of their manuscripts at each headquarters in addition to members of the guild who are living records and are required to memorize the histories as well.
