Hello. Just wondering if anyone has heard of the sword manufacturer by the names of Kovex Ars? Their stuff looks quite good actually (see below), and is quite reasonably priced (the piece below is 340 Euro, but most rapiers go for around 200-300 Euro) - a step above Marek and Wulflund, but not by much and definitely cheaper than anything from Cervenka. Never heard much about them though which is strange since I would expect them to be as popular as the other three companies I have listed

It's the steel on the inside that counts.

I just spent the last hour going through pretty much their whole catalog, and most of their stuff looks great. They don't give you a lot of info though. I was drooling over their selection of helmets---but I didn't see any sizing! Helmets ain't 'one size fits all'. I'd like to know more about this company also! Especially if they have a US distributor. I guess you would just have to contact them if you want any specific information on a certain product. ....Chris

I'd have to dig through old bookmarks but I believe Kovex is an agent of sorts that sources many makers of weapons and armour within CZ. As such I would suggest caution in ordering anything not listed as in stock. One of many threads. myarmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=29528Another www.swordforum.com/forums/showthread.php?45884-1%BD-handed-sword-from-Kovex-ArsNothing that searching some won't find. I believe I first saw them in the 1990s, so they have been around forever. For some reason I am remembering another reenactor type site from the CZ, something like "outfitters" that also sourced from many makers. The way old Kovex page had a knight in armour with weapons and clicking the desired toy would take you to the specific genre (sword, axe, mace, etc)
