Looks like 12th or 13th century armor with an overlay of poorly fitted 15th century pieces and fantasy elements such as spikes. I'm sure you could assemble something like it from the pieces on sale at Kult. The biggest missing piece is the breastplate. There's a lot of extra steel on the arms, but none where you'd really expect it.

It's really not that unrealistic, particularly considering some of the sets that have come out of Dark Souls (the Havel, Catarina, and Smough sets come to mind). The helmet is a pretty bog standard great helm, while the rerebraces, gauntlets, greaves, sabatons, and tassets are all pretty normal. The cuisses are a little exaggerated, but still pretty realistic.
If you wanted to recreate it, you'd need to do it in individual sets, as the pieces themselves are from somewhat different time periods; the great helm, for instance, came about around the 12th century, while the rest seems fairly typical of what I've seen of some later 15th century stuff.

The thing I wanna know is what's the tattered cloak thing he's wearing over the chain mail? Also on the topic of Kult I found some helmets that are close:

I think that you could piece something together that is similar from KoA or Dark Knight Armoury www.darkknightarmoury.com/ . MRL also sells armour and offers them on DoD from time to time. If you want to go as far as the spikes try a machine shop and have them welded on to whatever. As for the cloth there are patterns found online or buy a readymade surcoat, aka tunic or tabard, from one of the above sources, that is probably what that was originally. If a new surcoat looks too new, well you can figure that one out. PS Just saw your new post and I've answered that in the last two sentences.

I've found this full suit online that I'd imagine what the armor would kinda look like if it was brand new:

FWIW those spikes will play havoc with a surcoat. But then it will accelerate the aging. Haha.

Probably this armor with any of these two helmets Will give a similar look. What do you think? Do let me know if you don't know where to find them.

Just my observation, but the sword looks kinda similar in shape to a Hanwei Bastard Sword, or a Hanwei Rhinelander without the crossguard ring. The real life swords are smaller than in DS2 though, but they'll probably work for a cosplay outfit.
The lance looks a lot like a Roman Pilum, just much longer. And the spear looks similar to an 18th Century British Sergeants Spontoon.
Now, that's just what they look like to me. The game makes all the weapons bigger, so I'd have to really dig around to see if any manufacturer makes them that size.
Also: Dark Souls 2 is pretty frikken awesome, Heide Knights Sword was my main arm for a long time in that

Depends on what you plan on using it for. Plan on steel-steel fighting, or just costume wear and display? I put my suit together piece-by-piece. It's kind of a mix-up of different styles, but it IS at least historically *plausible*. I got most of it from Medieval Collectibles, from their Mytholon line. Great stuff, and won't break the bank. Got my Great Helm from Amazon for $69~. For the sword, as already suggested, I'd go with a Hanwei Bastard...or if you just want to go over the top...the Lowlander. Those types of surcoats can be had pretty cheap. Just get the one you like, dirty it up, and start shredding. Check out the Mytholon stuff over at M-C's. It's cheap in price, but not in quality. The polish isn't that great, but if you want that hard-fought, ragged look...then it'll be right up your alley. (Dark Knight Armoury is a branch-off of Medieval Collectibles, and doesn't have the most sterling of reputations...just FWIW.) I've gotten a TON of stuff from M-C's and never had any problems with quality, shipping, or having to make a return. Throw out some pics when you get your stuff all together! ......Chris

Hey! Glad to meet another Souls fan. Always loved how From Software clearly uses real armour references for a lot of its in-game stuff. I know there's been a lot of great responses already, but I figured I'd throw in my two cents. The helmet is pretty clearly a Great Helm, which is obvious enough. But the rest of it is a bit hodge-podge. The Heide Knight set is Very anachronistic, but aside from the spiked pauldrons and maybe the bracers/gauntlets it's all real armour. And you could probably put together a functional replica without needing to spend too much, too! Start with a gambeson, obviously. The in-game set has a long "tail" section which I'm not sure how you'd replicate. Might need to get that bit custom made. Then a long sleeved mail hauberk that goes to your knees or mid-thighs, you can then remove a bunch of the rings down at the bottom bit to give it that "ragged" look if you want to retain that. For the shoulders, I'd go for some 15th century Milanese-style spaulders and/or pauldrons, can't tell if there's a gorget that goes with them, though. Not sure how you'd replicate the braces/gauntlets, unfortunately. I think some 13th or early 14th century hourglass gauntlets might look the part paired with some of those "fantasy" style bracers you can get from Epic Armoury, or just forgo the metal fingers and get some of the cheaper bracers that have back-of-the-hand protection. The legs look like 15th Century gothic armour, so they'd be the most expensive part. A good one that looks fairly similar to the in-game set would be these made by Stahlgilde. They have that weird horizontal fluting look which matches the in-game set pretty well. Then some 15th century sabatons for your feet. The spiked shoulders would have to be a custom addition if you want to use them, if you know a metalworker or have any skill with it yourself, it shouldn't be too hard to attach some metal spikes to a set of cheap spaulders. Top all that with a nice arming cap, the great helm, and a ragged white cloak, and that's the armour done! The weapons are thankfully pretty easy, too. I think the already-suggested ideas for those will see you through with no trouble. I know it's been a little while since this thread started but I figured there was no harm in giving my thoughts! Hope you can get this set up, I love the idea of transferring Dark Souls armour into real-life, functional sets.

I know this an old topic, but YES, it exists in real life.

Except in Dark Souls everyone has tiny little heads, so a great helm is small ;-)
