Voltan's Collection

With the recent Photobucket debacle, I decided to start a new collection thread rather than editing the old one. This one will be more up to date as well, and a little more organized.

Knives & Daggers:

AS06JLC: "The Fleischmesser"
A collaboration between myself and J&L Custom Cutlery. I made the blade out of a stainless wall hanger, cleaned up an old guard I had lying around, and sent both to L Driggers (fallen) for a custom handle and assembly. I was just starting to dabble in making blades. This done back in March of 2016.

Designed as an anti-rattlesnake device, and fashioned out of a forged scraper from Home Depot, this was the first "blade" I ever designed and shaped.

Antique Qaddara (origin unknown)
This piece was given to me by my Father-in-law in the summer of 2011, when I had just started collecting. He picked it up over 20 years ago at an anique & collectibles shop, somewhere in California, but that's the most he can remember about it at the moment. A unique piece nevertheless...

"Bill the Butcher"
Dao-Machete
This was made out of a pudao I got from Kult of Athena. When the handle cracked after one cutting session, I cut the welded tang extension off. I then ground in a new tang along with an arch before the edge, and made a new grip out of bubinga.

mrstabby: Been thinking the same - but the person that set up the page might not be there anymore and old code gets messy when not maintained. Might be a "repair subscriptions, destroy function X, repair X, destroy Y" situation by now - would mean a total overhaul. Nov 18, 2024 7:29:27 GMT
