Finally a break from the Deepeeka stuff.... Got some new Rapiers and a Hussar Sabre. Not my style, but if you are in the market they could be an interesting alternative to the A&A offerings, or the long-gone Windlass models

FINALLY!
That saber and Arming sword look nice. Might be ripe for a redone grip though, but I've never handled a del tin piece.

What about the new katzbalger? Blade is definitely very appealing, but 3 and a half pounds?

I have looked at Del Tin pieces before - I really like their early rapiers, but always just a bit much, especially since you get no scabbard. They look good though and have a great range of designs

It's great to see some new stuff from Del Tin. I do like that Hussar saber... And... it's already out of stock! LOL.

Del tin rapiers are great swords. For the price tho they need to refine the asthetics a bit more. The welds are a bit crude. Solid sword tho.

That was me. 8-) (After the lengths I had to go to to get a highly valued early MRL Mongol sword last year that went in no time after posting, I don't snooze on watching the boards any more!)

The stat's actually look pretty decent on that. - Under 2.5 lbs, with some real distal Taper. Looking forward to your impressions.

Lol, it is nice to see a break in the Deepeeka invasion. I like the looks of the 14th c. Hand and a Half. Been lusting after the Schiavonas lately as well.

FWIW
One can order direct from Del Tin. While not really any cheaper (shipping, KOA gets a bulk break) Fulvio can offer a thinner edge and does offer simple leather scabbards.

This is true. I've been waiting for months for some models to restock on KOA.

Like it a lot.
Ill probably post on it in a little while anyway. I don't really mess with full-on reviews, BUT...
About a year I got a much sought after EARLY MRL Mongol sword, just scored a remarkably-pesky-to-get Deepeeka Circassian Shaskha on KOA, have a Cold Steel Polish Saber that James Curry is reprofiling for me that should be ready soon, plus might even end up with that Tinkerbella of adtharp's if I can scrape together a deal. And of course I have my long-ago CS Shamshir redone as a kind of paramerion.
(Yes, I'm moving toward Minimalism even in my sword collection. But hey, the term's relative. ;) )
I promised Curry I'd actually do a review if he did the CS Polish, and all together, they might make an interesting comparison/contrast.
Long story short though, the DT is very nice. It'd be perfect if it either had a tighter grip or especially a thumb ring. (Not that that necessarily bothers me, because historicity be damned, it's pretty easy, I've found, to make an add-on thumb ring with saddle weight leather. But description of that'll be for any write-up too. ;) )

I have several older Drs, love all of them, particularly my Scottish nightly sword. It was a gift from my mom.
