Very nice set of videos. I've searched and searched but hadnt found half of these. There are a lot of knife making videos done by amateurs. Some of which show quite dubious technique. One fellow was thwacking away at a piece of (01) steel long after it had gone black. Another was whacking away at a ludicrously unsecure anvil that was jumping at least half a foot off the stand with each hammer strike. Quite odd.
The scrolling video is particularly good. He works so fast! I am used to my own slow amateurish pace, so no suprise there.
I also thought the Mad Dwarf workshops method of welding was very clever. Is that what the funny rollering machine is actually for, normally?
The iron age setup vid shows equipment pretty similar to the ones used by the blacksmith I met at Glastonbury, as well.
