I guess it's a good project blade.

Well I usually don't spend $204 for a project knife.

man that sucks a bit i almost got one of them a while ago . i instead got a defender sword i had lengthened to a 26 inch blade and loved it until i took it out to cut with and it would bend like soft metal anytime it hit anything, and the blade was barely sharp when i got it too. seems like my blade wasn't heat treated or something. needless to say i don't buy from them anymore.

I was also underwhelmed by their finish work and surprised by the bent sheath tip because of poor packaging. on my Lakonia Striker. it seems from minor use it is good steel, but all the finish work was amateurish. The sheath seemed like a big hunk of good leather, but the belt loops were the kind that went out of style in the 1950s when everybody found out that if one of the 3 sections breaks you knife drops to the ground. There is no 3rd piece of leather to create a space between the front and back so the sword won't cut the threads or rub on the rivets. The sheath edge has never seen a sander.
The black finish is ok, somewhat like the vinegar finish I did on my qama. The handles is dinged and scuffed and one of the rivets is a little misplaced. There is a thin spot on one of the grinds, and the grinds generally look machine cut.
I hope the metallurgy is good, but overall I think they are just cashing in on the sword craze and haven't figured out QC or aesthetics. Hand made shouldn't mean sloppy!
They have sales all the time, and an additional discount if you get on the email list. Their videos on youtube are bizarre.
I think my future money will be spent on Windlast or Devil's Edge. I don't like gladius or Asian, so there isn't a lot available for short swords. I'd like to order one of the fancy qamas from Georgian on ebay, but I want to see some reviews first.
