Back in December I ordered the practical tai chi sword off Amazon from a reseller. The reseller kept saying that the manufacturer keeps putting the shipping date back. They kept offering me a refund. I waited 3 whole months till March when I was like alright I'll take the refund.
So I decided to order directly from Hanwei since ON THEIR WEBSITE IT SAID IT WAS AVAILABLE... so right after I order it, paid everything and all, two days later, they TAKE IT OFF THEIR WEBSITE!!!!!!! What?!!? WHY?
I emailed the PR guys or whoever they are yeseterday and they still haven't responded. Maybe they'll respond on Monday, but this is totally messed up LMAO. My order is still awaiting confirmation!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME lol I can't take a look at the sword to see the specs anymore either.
Does anyone know what's going on? Do you guys have this problem with Hanwei as well?

Perhaps you bought the last one in stock so that is why it was removed from the website?
I have an order for one of their blades (through a distributor) and was told it would be here by the end of this week. I will update and let you know how it turns out.

Did you get an order confirmation and/or shipping label number?
Also - and please forgive my ignorance - which site is their site?

Call them up. Most specifications can be found at other vendors.

Sorry about the late response and I received my sword yesterday, on time. Thank you Hanwei people I'll do a sword review soon since there's like nothing out there on the practical tai chi sword. But what exactly has been going on? I had been trying to order through the only amazon seller currently, Zappysales, and they kept pushing it back, because they said your production kept being pushed back. They were really nice and gave me a full refund though, but I notice you don't have the 28 inch or the 32 inch available. One of these days, I want to buy my uncle in Canada, who actually is a silver medalist in tai ji quan forms one of these swords. Anyway, yeah, I received the email with ups tracking on the same day as the order in my spam mailbox and found it around 3/6 , and then that night one of your team sent me a follow up email about a question i had about the tracking. But yeah, long story short, I've got it, it feels great to hold and swing, I've just got to find a way to fully sharpen this thing because of course, it's unsharpened, but the blade geometry gives it a nice angle and it can do light cutting with the little sharpening I did.

Not the manufacturer. Read their "about us" page: www.paulchenhanweiswords.com/about-us/Best bet is to go through Blake at Casiberia. I have a couple of their various tai chi swords and really like them. Just fun swords to handle. Haven't tried turning any of them into cutters, although Paul did use the practical tai chi for some light cutting successfully.

No, this is a dealer (customer) of ours. As for what is going on with Hanwei, we do our best here at CAS to keep items in stock. With an item like this we may only receive new stock a couple times per year, so if it is out of stock it can be a few months before we receive more in a container. Glad you received and are enjoying your sword! Blake

Sorry, cannot help you there... I met the German folks about two years ago but that's about the only contact we've had. North America keeps us busy enough as it is! I hope this clears things up for arfoo Blake
