Ric... what can I say... your the man. The little Celtic KC blade has withstood quite a lot of abuse... a solid peice for sure. The DH weirds me out, but it seems to work fine for that blade. Question... what is your favorite shortie of all your short blades? I might... when I have a bit more spare cash... look into the Ritter Steel one... because no one I know has and it sells about $100 less then the KC. However... I have a lot of other 'maybe' sword buys before that... so I guess it will be awhile. I LOVE that look tho, on your KC celtic and the Ritter Steel... very attractive.

Thanks, Howler. I don't care for the DH thing either. My favorite shortie is my KC Roman Gladius, it's just beautiful and tough as hell, tho according to the info on KC's site it too is DH.
I like the look of that Rittersteel celtic also, tho it would need to be sharpened to cut well. I have two Rittersteels a gladius and the full tang kat. Both tough swords if a bit heavy. The kat cuts well enough after I sharpened it good.

I'm suprised no one has brought these up yet : www.bronze-age-craft.com/swords_for_sale.htmThere are some stunning leaf blade types here and iirc they are all historically accurate. I would hesitate to cut with bronze, but only a little. After all, wars were fought with it.

Hey everyone. I'm a newbie when it comes to buying a REAL sword. I'm actually planning on purchasing the Celtic Anthro for myself. It'll be a late Christmas gift. I called up the Arms of Valor place because I wanted to ask about the large handle everyone's talking about. They said that I would probably be able to hold it, even if I am a woman. I also learned that if I bought it now, it would probably come in way after Christmas- more like late January, early February. But it's the quality that counts! So I'm glad to see that many people like this sword. ~CrimsonVeil
