I was watching Season 3 of the Game of Thrones again and noticed that Ser Barristan Selmy's dagger is the Windlass Silver Hilted Dagger: The hilt has been blackened, but if you watch that scene, you'll see it is clearly the same dagger.

Probably saved a lot of money. Especially since of I'm not mistaken you only need one scene with it you don't need a custom piece, or other high end piece for one scene. Save money where you can right. On a side note does anyone know of any other production piece used in shows. I think I seen a cold steel Laredo Bowie on Z Nation.

GoT: Viserys sword: the blade looks like a Windlass Raptor. I can't pull up the image but I remember that it did look very familiar.

Here's the clearest look at Viserys' sword I could find: And here's the Windlass Raptor: Looks like they just rehilted it, which is probably a lot cheaper than getting an entirely new blade; especially since Windlass blades come without an edge as standard. I'm pretty sure they did the same in the movie Stardust (save for Tristan's sword), as Septimus' dagger looks a lot like an older Windlass piece and his sword is the spitting image of a British 1803 saber, probably from Universal or similar, so it wouldn't surprise me if more movies and TV series do the same. After all, it's a good way to get relatively period accurate swords en masse for cheap.

In Outlander, the viking/beowulf movie with Jim Caviezel, he had a Hanwei Godfred.

In Outlander, the viking/beowulf movie with Jim Caviezel, he had a Hanwei Godfred. I haven't seen it in awhile, but I think some of the spears were Hanwei, as well; Freya's sword looked very much like the Del Tin 2101, though.

During the Battle of the Blackwater, Tyrion Lannister was wielding the Hanwei Hero's Axe. Also, I think the sword used by Lord Commander Mormont when he was betrayed at Craster's Keep, was the Windlass 15th Century Longsword, but I'm not 100% sure. That was quite a while ago...

I think they fit nicely together. I've threatened to buy that dagger more than once...or the CS Colichemarde (sp?) dagger...to go with my Hanwei side sword. I can tell....you're in love with that DT, ain't ya.....ain't ya! ....
