I also own a Lion Dog, but have not done any substantial cutting with it yet. Have never handled a Wind and Thunder or seen one in person.
They aren't made any more, but Last Legend katanas used to be widely praised for their cutting prowess. I own a couple. Neither are as beefy or heavy as my Lion Dog, but they are very sharp and sort of on the beefy side. The sori on both is also a lot deeper. I have yet to see a production katana with as deep a sori as my Last Legends. I really like the curve!
If you can find a Last Legend, you might find it interesting. I was watching one on Ebay last week, but it sold. They do come up once in a blue moon.

I guess I should add that maybe an o-katana might also fit the bill for heavy cutter. I know Cheness and Cold Steel make some. Perhaps those are just longer blades, and not necessarily beefier, heavier ones, though?
Cheness has a few SGC models, which are supposed to be heavy cutters. I own one of the SGC wakizashis. Its a little too heavy. Almost makes me wish I'd gone with a ko-katana, so as to have improved balance. I really do like the wak, though. Very wide and thick. Very capable of heavy cutting. I know some people don't really have a high opinion of Cheness, but, other than the bit off balance due to weight, I have no complaints about the wak.

Nterna805, Yeah, I prefer no hi, as well. I think the Cheness o-katana has hi, but you can get their SGC models without. If you can ever find any Last Legends, they also had no hi versions.

i have both swords, the W&T is by far the biggest and heaviest Hanwei katana, the Lion Dog feels like a wakizashi in comparison if you look for a "cleaver" katana - the W&T is your pick

You should look at the bugei shobu. That thing is wider and heavier than the lion dog.
