My Glock 43 is extremely easy to shoot (for me anyway) and pretty accurate as well. With the pinky mag extension it holds 7 + 1, which is plenty for EDC. It has barely any more felt recoil than my Glock 19 and is very comfortable to shoot. Its one of my favorite guns to shoot at the range, aside from my Glock 20/29 10mm (gotta love a 165gr @ 1400fps 718ft/lbs) My EDC is usually my Glock 30S .45 and its just about the perfect size/weight to stopping power ratio IMHO. It takes the Glock 30SF (short frame) frame and mates it to the slim Glock 36 slide. So, you get the capacity of a double stack .45 (10 + 1) and the lighter weight of the single stack slide. Fun to shoot and accurate with moderate recoil, but easier to manage (for me) than the "snappy" Glock 27 .40cal. I'd take the 30S over the 26 or 27 any day of the week...and twice on Sunday I run Federal HST JHP in my Glock 19 & 43 (9mm) and Glock 30S (.45acp). I'd use them in my Glock 20 & 29 (10mm) if they made them in that size, but my Underwood 165gr bonded JHPs (speer gold dot tips) fill in quite nicely

I'm looking for a new .40 handgun, and the M&P 2.0 .40 has been a consideration of mine, but I have to ask.....how's the S&W trigger on the Shield? I know, different "model," but I've been told that the trigger on the semiautos was pretty much standard for all S&W semiautos. Good choice for a carry gun I've heard.....due to thickness/thinness.

I have the Performance Center model which has the enhanced trigger, not the standard trigger. Very nice pull and quick reset. If it was up to me I would have not put the trigger safety in it put it doesn't seem to have any negative effect on the performance of the trigger. One guy on Youtube didn't like it because he has skinny girly fingers and he sometimes has his finger to high on the trigger to release the safety. But that's more of a personal problem than a trigger problem. That's about the only negative thing I've ever read about the gun.
