The fact I can't have those master swords fills me with sadness. Beautiful collection You're welcome to come see them should you ever be in the neighborhood :)

Well now I have a bigger reason to travel to where ever you live. Europe was it? Nope. USA. WA state. I actually live not far from Sanmarc Forge (who has actually cut with my original master sword; the first one I co-designed), and also near Michael Tinker Pierce

Oh snap. What a lucky guy. I do plan on going to USA sometime. I got more friends over there than I do in Canada

Impressive collection, and fantastic displays. I'm drooling over the Christian Fletcher Winter Warden. Absolutely gorgeous!

Every sword this guy has is amazing. I used to feel amazed with my 4 swords. This particular area of the forum always humbles me

Impressive collection, and fantastic displays. I'm drooling over the Christian Fletcher Winter Warden. Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks! Essentially it is a completely tricked out Albion Baron. But I could not resist when Christian first launched the Winter Warden. The Germanic writhen styling that is his own reimagining of a German riding sword (A&A makes a more exacting copy of the museum piece) in a XIIa war sword form just hooked me bad. I had been wanting a CF piece for a long time and the Winter Warden did me in... It looks like it could be equally comfortable on a 14th century battlefield as much as on the set of Game of Thrones... I love it!

One thing I haven't figured out is a good way to display scabbards consistently for the straight blades. Clearly the cases make for an elegant display of Japanese swords and sabers and allow for scabbard/saya and sword, but no good way for the vertical displays to show off the exquisite scabbards that accompany these swords. I could include them in the case but then there is an asymmetry to the display, I have considered using a horizontal sword rack but that looks a bit inconsistent with the rest of the display.. First-world problems, I know.

It's a sexy classic design Seriously though, your collection is amazing. Thank you! Quick question, is your sabre edged at all? All the WW1 Era swords I've had that were sharpened have stayed very sharp, and I'm looking at one more (the same updated Blucher for artillerie troopers as yours, but not as good condition) coming my way that looks to be sharpened as well.

It is sharp yes. Some minor nicks as it is an antique but yes. It will definitely cut. Not razor "hair shaving" but definitely sharp.

It is sharp yes. Some minor nicks as it is an antique but yes. It will definitely cut. Not razor "hair shaving" but definitely sharp. I have an M1861 that has its original edge, it came to me sharp enough to tear paper. I found a good way to make it extremely sharp (as it edge no doubt was worn down after 100 years) is to take a very fine stone and follow the bevel very slowly, doesn't remove any grinning marks or disrupt the edge geometry. Also, in preparation for a write up on it I hope to make, I draped a high quality cotton shirt over a milk jug and took a cut number 1 (left downwards,,ending near the left foot) and it opened a sizeable gash in the shirt, and cut nearly all the way through the jug. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll receive my service sharpened M1873, I plan on doing the same thing with it.

I just recently commissioned a winter warden myself, I know what you mean when you say it did you in. Pretty cool that the display pics on Christians site were of your own piece, I too did it in all oxblood (my favorite color for euros). Seeing as it sports an albion blade, I guess technically it'll also be my first albion?? Anyway, super nice collection, definately makes my wallet hurt looking at it haha.
