The Hanwei: about 830g, about 2mm thick near the tip, plain fittings
The Dynasty Forge: about 1080g, about 3.5mm thick near the tip, 1.5" longer blade, ornamented fittings
The Hanwei looks like it should handle and cut more like an authentic oxtail dao of the length of these swords.

I have had the Hanwei oxtail for a while, and it is a magnificent weapon. Simple but solid construction, nice fit & finish, and high quality steel and other materials. Very good handling. Sharp.
A number of forumites kindly directed my attention to the Hanwei when I was shopping for an oxtail for Kung Fu practice. Apparently, this has been a Hanwei favorite for many years. Everyone who had one really liked it, and the reviews were all very positive.
I picked mine up after talking with my Shi Fu.
Availability comes and goes, so I would recommend getting one while you can.
KoA has the Hanwei oxtail "shipping within about two weeks" right now. I don't know if shipping or import is an issue where you are, but at about $180, it's close to a hundred euro less than the site you linked. fwiw

Thanks for the relplies. They help me a lot. pellius Thanks for your advice. I have already noticed that the hanwei oxtail dao would be cheaper then site I likend. The Shipping costs are not the problem with KoA. They are very nice. I am only worried about some hight custom duties. Have emailed the people at custom already concering this matter but did not get any replies yet. But if the custom duties are not so high, I would order from KoA for sure.

For what it’s worth I’ve had the Oxtail Dao for many years and the only fault, if you can call it that, that I’ve found was early on I shredded the silk red flag when going through some drills. The thing is ridiculously sharp. I removed the flag in short order. It’s fast and easy to control. I don't think you will regret the purchase.

The hanwei oxtail is a good purchase indeed. Very sturdy no-nonsense sword with plain fittings. Mine is from the older generation which has a shorter handle but same blade lenght.
I'm curious which jian you chose ?
