Possible Product Review

Hello everyone,
I'm planning on doing a simple first impression review of a product I recently purchased. However before I begin talking about the product, I would like to know if I am allowed to promote the product on this part of the forum. I am an affiliate of the site the product is from, and technically don’t fall under the category of manufacturer or vendor. However, I would still like to double check with everyone before I end up breaking the rules by mistake.
Some details about being an affiliate of the product’s site:
As an affiliate I was given an affiliate link that can be used to track sales made by those who used the link to do so. If a sale is made I get a small percentage of the revenue generated by that sale with no added expense to the customer.
Despite being an affiliate, my aim is not simply to make money but to promote a product, and possibly others, that I feel would benefit the Chinese martial arts community, especially those looking for equipment to pursue weapons sparring.
I will be more than happy to post the details in another part of the forum if required by the rules.
