Reread that list I was making of shows that I liked. Don't remember a lot of them, and some just aren't worth listing, but here are some that really stood out. As you can see, a lot of these are from a while ago, as I spaced off listing them after a while. In no order whatsoever, mixing up new and old, but with an asterisk next to ones I like at least as much as NGE: *Konasuba Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Konosuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!Hataraku Maou-sama The Devil is a Part-TimerNagi no Asuraka Nagi no Asu kara A Lull in the Sea (Seriously? That's the English title? It's really more like "For/Toward a Calm/Peaceful [Sea?] Tomorrow/Future" but whatever, my Japanese is terrible) HENNEKO Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat (also a lousy translation; The Perverted Prince and the Cat That Can't/Won't Smile/Laugh" is the proper feeling) Blood Lad Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Love, Chuunibyou, and Other things (Chuunibyou is a weird thing that you're better off looking up yourself if you don't know what it is. Chuugaku Ninensei Byouki, literally Middle School Second Year Illness, is a sort of cultural phenomenon that's just...odd. Anyway, the title "actually" reads more like "I Have Chuunibyou but I Want to Fall in Love!" or something to that extent.) Goblin Slayer Demon Slayer Dr. Stone *Saga of Tanya the Evil Youjo Senki. Simply, "Young/Little Girl War Chronicles," but Youjo Senki is less of a mouthful. *Re: Zero Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Re:ZERO - Starting Life in Another World This translation is okay; to take it literally it would be "Re: Starting from Zero in Another world [my] Daily Life" *Isekai Quartet (This is the Japanese and English title; "Isekai" is a genre that means "another world" and the "quartet" refers to this series' bringing-together of four separate franchises: Re:Zero, Overlord, Konosuba, and Youjo Senki. If you've not seen these all beforehand, you may not understand this one) *Erased Boku Dake ga Inai Machi(this one frustrates me because "erased" isn't really accurate and oversimplifies to say the least) Bungo Stray Dogs The Rising of the Shield Hero Tate no Yuusha no NariagariNon Non Biyori Midori no Hibi Outbreak Company *Toradora Denki-Gai Denki-Gai no Honya-sanSabagebu *No Game, No Life *Watamote Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui! WataMote: No Matter How I Look At It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Unpopular! ("You Guys'" is awkward; it's just an informal universal you) Engaged to the Unidentified Mikakunin de ShinkankeiLog Horizion Usagi Drop *Ore Monogatari *Gangsta *Overlord Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?*One-Punch Man Plastic Memories *Drifters *Mob Psycho 100 *GATE Aho Girl *Hinamatsuri That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken*Golden Kamuy My Hero Academia Boku no Hero AcademiaAsobi Asobase *March Comes in Like a Lion Sangatsu no Lion*The Ancient Magus Bride Mahoutsukai no YomeAgain, incomplete list, but just this one was getting long. Lots of good shows on this list; I've seen most of them. I can't really put together a top recommendation list anymore, I've seen so much I've forgotten most of it, so it wouldn't be fair. I noticed a mixture of English and Japanese titles, which may cause some confusion, so I added the ones I knew in bold (and corrected some typos and/or expanded shorthand titles in italics for easier searching. Those I didn't add to didn't suffer title changes for their official English releases (ToraDora), or were given English titles originally (Mob Psycho 100). Some outright don't have official English titles (Aho Girl).

Yeah, when I was keeping track I'd copy the names from My Anime, I think. They mostly used Japanese names. After that I just used whatever Crunchyroll listed them as.

My girlfriend has an active list on MAL, but I've never bothered to keep one. I used to think, if a show was good enough, I would remember it. If I couldn't remember it a year later, it wasn't worth a permanent note Now there's so many shows I've forgotten about until someone else mentions them, then I have to remember what they were about and whether I liked them.

I finally started Youjo Senki. Coincidentally, some guy at the gym asked me if I watched anime while I was on the cycling machine at the same time I was on episode 6 on my phone. He brought up the Youjo Senki movie but at the time I didn't know the Japanese name because I was watching it on Crunchyroll. So I asked him what Youjo Senki was and when he said it was about the evil loli, I laughed and said I'm actually on episode 6 right now.

I went and saw the movie in the theater with a friend, it was definitely a good continuation of the story.

Fun as Youjo Senki is, I have to give props to Yuuki Aoi, the Japanese voice of Tanya; she really demonstrated some amazing range and really sounded like she was having fun with it.
Still need to check out the movie, though.

I find myself also becoming a fan of Saori Hayami. All the characters I've seen who are voiced by her seem to end up my favorite. Personally, I like her sadistic voice range.

I don't generally follow who voices what, but I noticed that Yuuki Aoi has voiced a lot of the roles I've enjoyed the most.
Youjo Senki is one of my favorites. It's funny that Isekai Quartet centers on the four shows that I've liked the most in the past several years.

Anyone else see vinland saga episode 10? Pretty cool episode I last saw episode 8. I read a bunch of the manga, but I'm not current with it. I like the series, and the anime seems well executed so far. It's interesting seeing this Japanese interpretation of the viking age.

It's funny that Isekai Quartet centers on the four shows that I've liked the most in the past several years. Only the most popular, top grossing anime of the last few years. Pretty niche stuff. I might pick up Vinland Saga, I dunno. We'll see.

Probably one of the more accurate anime interpretations of European medivalism I've seen

Probably one of the more accurate anime interpretations of European medivalism I've seen Junketsu no Maria garnered a lot of respect for its portrayal of medieval combat, but at its heart it's a fantasy series, so the rest gets taken with a spoonful of salt.

Is that the one where they actually have bucklers? I been wanting to check it out

Haven't started Vinland Saga yet. Junketsu no Maria reminded me of another great show that I think I left off my list though, Izetta: The Last Witch.

Totally. I'm actually impressed that you guys had even heard of them. Some of those are pretty obscure. Didn't think you were that hardcore.

Don't tell them about Naruto. We don't need these noobs clouding up the fandom

I think that's the one, yes. I'd forgotten about Izetta. That series started with so much promise, but by the fourth episode or so it had just gotten too political for my liking and I lost the ability to appreciate it. Beautifully animated, great music, but ugh...such a chore to watch. I was worried Violet Evergarden would be the same, but I was very happy to be wrong about that one. Let's see, Isekai Quartet is KonoSuba, Overlord, Youjo Senki, and uh...Re:Zero? Yeah, no, not really familiar with those. Probably a bunch of unknowns, likely not any good. Okay so I've only seen KonoSuba and the rest have never appealed to me.
