It's not listed on his website yet so you still have time to break into the kids piggy bank and the wifes jewery box. I was just getting ready to order a new rifle, guess I'll have to flip a coin, a two headed coin.

Yeah, Albion price range. But it's fantastic work nonetheless.

It's still not listed on his website and he didn't mention a price in his Facebook post. I've heard a $900 to $1000 price range mentioned before but not by Sonny. At the rate this project has been going it could be another six months before he starts taking orders.

I just noticed something that I don't like, that is the fuller is narrower than his other Viking swords. Wonder what is up with that.

Actually I think I'm going to pass on this because I don't like the narrow fuller and I smell something fishy here and it has nothing to do with the salmon I had for dinner tonight. What's up with having to go through a second party to order them and who ever only makes a run of 4 swords. Not even Albion does that. I think I'll keep my eye out for a used Albion or wait to see if Sonny will be selling them himself.

This is a collaborative project and the people involved (Mike, John, and Robb) are all longtime and trusted SBG members/makers and manufacturers.
Also, I think they used the Norman blade for this? At least that's what I read in that thread.

If you click on the two pictures I posted to enlarge them you can see it is narrower. Sonny's two new Viking swords have the wider fullers so why go back to a narrow fuller almost as narrow as the Hedemark which I own. Why not use the same blade as the other two. I've been waiting a long time for this sword to come out but now I'm disappointed.

They're really very good blades.

Yep Mike is correct, the limited run was just due to me snapping up the limited number of last tinker Viking bare blades, - that and funding the bronze on all these up front was pretty darn expensive - but it was a way to bring them to market.
Sonny was going to take the orders but he's a busy man and has got a backlog plus I'm paying him to provide the grip, amazing leatherwork and assemble - so I think it's fair enough I have to collect the orders.

All that is fine and good but the details were left out. It was made to look like it was going to be a Valiant Armoury offering with no mention of a limited run of only four. Even Albion does at least one hundred. Look at Sonny's Facebook page, still nothing is being said about only four and that all he did is supply the scabbard and grip. A lot of people there are saying they want one but Sonny isn't answering them on how to place orders. It's still being made to look like a Valiant Armoury offering. I wish you good luck, I'm sure you'll sell all four of them but I'll keep my eye out for an Albion.

The blade is a tinker viking blade? The ones that are sold on KOA? The replacement blades?

The Tinker Viking blade isn't available anymore but why not use one of Sonny's blades with the wider fuller? Would have looked a lot better. Plus they wouldn't have to limit it to only four swords.
