Thanks for the vid Wanderer. I was thinking of maybe getting a couple throwing hawks at some point (actually was kind of bummed that Avery wasn't still around). Those have a much broader head than I would have thought for a throwing hawk.

I've picked up several Viking style axes from H&B. They're sold at viking shield and are *fantastic*. Easily the best for the money I've ever seen. They aren't just recreations but fully functional axes.

Thanks though, and Jeff if you want a couple of hawks let me know. I don't want to take away from the topic at hand, I'm looking forward to hearing wanderers feedback on how they throw. I figure those to be about a 19"-20" handle which would still put it in the five pace range even with the weighted head. Let us know your impressions Wanderer!
