I asked Fallen to make the wood for the handle really really dark as possible, with a mirror polished blade, i think the contrast will look good

I can't wait to see it when it's done, or even just more progress pics.

Wood scabbards are good. Especially for these type of swords.

Did some rough grinding to it, it's at 120 grit right now. Fuller is going to be a semprini to do since it's so narrow and curved. Still a lot more work to go on it. Will be going slow.

The pictures remind me a bit of those big spanish folders.

Seeing it a bit more forged to shape, the tip really reminds me of a slender Chinese niuweidao.

A sanding drum on a hand held die grinder would work for the fuller, though they can be a pain to keep from jumping out of line. Is it going to have a guard and pommel or just wood for the whole hilt?

Going to do the fuller on with my Roto Zip have a flexible shaft put on it so it can be used as a rotarty tool. Yes it is a pain to keep them form jumping out of the fuller.
It's just going to have a wood handle, I am way under charging for this one.

I think the wood could be a bit broad to protect the hand from slipping. It's shape doesn't need a dedicated guard, I think...

Considering the bump between the handle and blade there shouldn't be a problem with slipping. Also these is a slashing design.

The sword's turning out great, though! Love those sinuous curves.

A little more did on this one, have the blade polished to 2000 grit, will take it to 3000 grit then start the buffing, I hate buffing. Won't be to much longer until it goes to the wife for grip and scabbard. These were quick pictures doesn't really show how shinny the blade is except on the point. Try a couple in bright sun light they came out real dark for some reason. When I have more time I will change the setting on my camera and try agian. t
