I'm getting Arwen's sword custom made from Scorpion Swords, its gonna be sick, still got to wait like a month for it tho I ordered their Strider knife without the sheath. When it's not hanging on the wall I can actually use it in the woods.

I like my Arwen sword alot

Has anyone heard if united cutlery is planning on releasing or re-releasing any LOTR weapons or helms? Would love to see different items like Boromir's shield, Gandalf the Grey's staff from FOTR, Mouth of Sauron Helm, the Horn of Gondor, etc.

That won't be happening ever. They still hold the Lord of the Rings license, but all of the items that were used for mock-up were sold to Kit Rae at some point. He in turn kept some of the items and sold some of the items. While there are detailed pictures of the items, the cost of tooling is astronomically higher today than they were ten years ago. All of those items will have to be commissioned if you want them on your walls.
That's how I got Eomer's helm and Theoden's helm. Through commissions

Also, what's a rough estimate for the cost of commissions (at least for what you had done) and who would I get a hold of? Really curious. Had no idea this was possible.

I decided to make a LOTR Uruk-Hai Scimitar. I have all the measurements except for blade width and height of the point. If anyone has a United Cutlery version not a knock off could you give me the measurements. Thanks.

A falchion maybe, but it doesn't have even the hint of a curve to it.

True but that's what they call it so I wouldn't want to confuse anyone. Sword collectors ain't the sharpest people in the world.

Which is strange, because Tolkien goes out of his way in the text to describe the Uruk-hai's swords as broad and straight, and a significant departure from the scimitars usually used by the lesser orcs/goblins.

Perhaps it's the Cold Steel Scimitar Machete?

It's the steel on the inside that counts.

MRL just came out with an 'Orc Axe' in their 'new products' section. Cheesiest thing I've ever seen. Looks like they made it from a hardware store sledge hammer handle and a cut-down Skil-saw blade. Not sure if it's LOTR, or just some 'other' Orcs. ....Chris

Yeah. I just stick with UC for all my replica needs.. there's so much questionable stuff out there I've seen as well. Especially on eBay.

The Orc Axe at MRL has nothing to do with the LOTR movies it's just their creation and yes it is bad and I don't mean bad ass.
