I went to the token kai show the other weekend. I snapped a few pics. The first ones are a fluted saya. I cant imagion the patience it would take to carve it. The second set is a naginata. It's the only one yoshi has made. It was truely a magnificent piece

even though my katanas range from 700-5000 this show was WAY out of my range. I usually go to just drool over cool expensive things. I also picked up an uchiko ball. its hard to find good quality ones. a lot of them are mixed with talcum powder

Very nice! Thanks for sharing! And yes, good uchiko is hard to find - like you said, most of the ones sold are just filled with talcum, not powdered hazuya and jizuya stones. Good catch! Keith Larman used to sell some quality ones, don't know if he still does or not though.
