Watching some old movies the other day and wondered if anyone ever made a functional production model of the Blade movie sword?

Bill, I've got a vague memory of a functional one, but that could be the voices. That sword doesn't have a guard does it? That's offputting.

Not a true guard but the base of the grip flares out. I figured there would be some similar type swords made. Looks sort of like a ninja sword but with a regular tip. Grip on a replica like sword could be leather wrapped.

I'm sure that John at Longship Armoury could make an excellent version of this.

I'd like to see a functional one complete with the theft prevention system.

I'm still looking to find a cheap United Cutlery version, so i can use as a model so i can make my own.
I love this sword but really want a functional piece.

I have a functional one I think they made like 100 functional ones mine is 5160 high carbon steel looks exactly like the united version. In every way execpt the blade is way sharper almost katana sharp and the tip is far stronger I don't remember what I paid a lot actually but it's cool
