I have been looking at dirks and rondel daggers and I've found one I like that's in my </= $100 price range, the Deepeeka 14th Century Rondel Dagger. Has anyone had any experience with it? It doesn't have to survive a battle but I don't like to buy anything that I can't at least rough up some bottles with. Kult of Athena has it listed as Battle Ready, and I generally trust them, but I've heard a lot of mixed feelings about deepeeka and it's only $50. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I've never owned (or handled) a Deepeeka, but from what I've read the blades seem to be too soft - they are supposed to bend fairly easily. A short dagger might hold up better then a sword though.
Hope that helps at least a little.

Not all deepeeka blades are tempered. If it's being sold as battle ready it should be ok, you could always contact KoA and see what they say about it.
