i have always loved archery, i shoot and hunt with my compound, recurve and crossbow, my question is has anyone ever thought about or tried a d loop and trigger release for a recurve or long bow? , i think it may help with consistency, i always used a glove and instinctive shooting but i have thought about trying a d loop for a long time, what are your guys thoughts?

I used tab and switched to glove. I wouldn't use a release on a recurve, but this is just me. There are recurves on which you can mount sight, stabilizer, etc. I see no reason to not use a release. But is not for me just because I am a purist - if I shoot recurve I shoot without gimmicks. Nobody should judge someone for crossing the lines between compound and 'traditional' so, shoot whatever you think it will increase your chances. If you decide to try release, go for it.
