Are there any special considerations needed to manage the wood dust? I don't know.... just asking

I have no idea of any of this as I ask this question but i am still asking:
Shouldn't there be any insulation or protection along the walls? They seem to be exposed and would pick up moisture wouldn't they?

Like I said it will be coming togather of the next few week and I will have to do the other stuff. Like insulation and wall board. But even if we didn't put up insulation it's dry inside and won't draw moisture.
We are going to put in a dust collection system, until then we will just use the big powerful 6.25hp shop vac I have. It will suck up almost anything.

Nice! New shop space is always exciting. 12x16 seems like a pretty good size to me. Don't know what I would do with a 24x24 space, probably have to buy more stuff then :)

With some one in a wheelchair you need more room. Also it won't take us long to fill it up with tools. Just got a new Wen 10 inch bandsaw to go in it.
Brotherbanzi I thought you new shop was at least 24X24ft.

Also, nice job you two did on the wiring, looks professional. I put in a single 4 plug outlet in my slurry room and it looks pretty amateurish.
My new shop building is 20 x 21, but I'm still amazed every time I walk in there at how much space I have. I suppose it really depends on what you are used to.

Just dug the trench to run the elecatrial wiring to the shop, wife picked up the wire we're going to need yesterday. When I get home this moring I will lay in the wire and cover the trench up. Also got the insulation, wall board, and pegboard. Will get it all up here soon.
Put the new Wen 10in bandsaw togather to test run it, it does fit. Will have to cut down the stand for it a lot so she can use it. I will cut down the legs when I get home this morning.

Nice, lots of useful equipment. Is that drywall or some other wallboard stuff? I was thinking of insulating and walling up my little slurry room once it starts to get cool out again. Are you using the overhead storage for anything?

It a fiber wallboard we got at Home Depot. Not using the overhead storage for any thing yet, ran out ot money to put in the floor or ceiling in it.
No A/C it will have heat, gas and electric. Maybe next year we can put a A/C unit in it.

Yes she does, but it's still too small. Lot more tools we would like to add, next will be a spinlde sander.
The list goes on spinlde sander small mill/drill they are good for wood working to better small drill press. better wood lathe knives. better table saw. and on and on.

Very nice job on the shop - and so clean! Puts a lot of us to shame I'm sure. Hope it is full of good times for you and your wife.
