Just like to post an update on the Valiant Armoury Castile sword. The blades are finished and they are working on the castings. We are looking at about 6-8 weeks and they will be ready. As long as US customs is not a problem. If you have any questions feel free to message me.

Awesome news; I'm quite anxious to acquire Valiant's new Signature Collection, all of them, so do keep us posted.

Do you know if the tang issue has been fixed on these models (threaded ends welded to the end of the tang)?

Are you sure you are not talking about the Angus Trim Valiant Practical line? That was a factory defect and the swords will be replaced through Valiant...I believe. I have not seen any of the Signature swords yet. But from what I hear they are made very well and have no defects. If you have any more questions let me know and I can find out for you.

Has anyone heard anything new on this sword line?
I am on the list and July has come and gone without any news as to a possible delivery date.
Anyone know anything new?

The Castile swords have been released from Chinese customs. The swords are on their way to the US. However, the rest of the signature collection are still in production stages.

There is now a base model edition for this particular sword. It will be marked at $349.99 in stead of $479.99. This model will come with a plain black leather scabbard with wood core as well as a black leather belt. The time is almost here.

Outstanding! I am cleaning out a place for mine today, and have told my other swords a new guy is coming.

Are these swords of the take down construction type like the usual Atrim? If so, would it be possible to get a look at the tang?

Great news! Just got back from having dinner with Sonny Suttles. The Castile swords are at DFW Airport Customs waiting for the clear. So next week they will have them in hopefully next week.

This is the Bristol prototype, but they will be the same type of tang and construction. Is this common for a euro sword? Seems like it would be mighty fragile where the fuller meets the tang?

Was on the pre-order list and received my official invoice from Sword Nation this afternoon for one VA Signature Castile sword, they must have em in and are getting ready to ship them out as soon as the scabbards are ready.
Really looking forward to this sword and scabbard combination.

Yes, the swords are in. However, we are waiting for the scabbards. The scabbards are being made to order by Valiant Armoury. So it will take a little longer. At least you know the scabbards will be made here in the US.

OC, if your refering to the fuller running under the quard into the tang, it is common for euros, Albions do this also, doesn't seem to be an issue.
