Hori means to "Dig" in Japanese. This is what is called a soil knife for gardeners. (also if you are in a plants vs. zombies situation)

Nice work. Possibly a dumb question here but what exactly are they used for in the garden? The knives I've used for bushcare are usually boning knives used for removing certain types of weeds.

No that's a good question. They are used much the same way as a small hand shovel but have more cutting and sawing capability. There are measurement marks for planting depth when seeding. This particular one has a full tang that goes into a heavy pommel for pounding in stakes.
