I added a custom tsuba, and sterling silver menuki. About 2.5 lbs of 1095 steel differentially hardened, w/custom tsuka. No hi. Plain matte black saya, 11' sageo for versatility in mounting & use. Its roughly 33" overall, 10.5" tsuka. Balance point at about 3" Works one handed like a wakizashi, or two handed with low grip for cutting (this effectively shifts the balance point to about 6" from hand position. It cuts things like butter, and has its harmonic sweetspot at the last 3.5" of the tip. I studied a ton before I had this sword made by Yao at Hanbon I am very happy with its quality and construction, and I feel like I got really lucky to have this as my first sword. I also have another sword coming in the mail, a full size katana 1095 through hardened Ryumon dragonfly (this will be my beater / practice cutter, because I feel my first sword is too nice to use.) Thanks for looking, and share your thoughts!

I have one of those sitting next to me, right now. Haven't decided what to do with it, so it can be a desk companion for a while. (Artsfeng, of course.)

Love that kashira! Its def. a real looker of a kashira, but I do have buyers remorse a little bit. I wish I had gotten blackened iron fittings. I've already scuffed off a bit of the silver coloring on the frog kashira from my banging the sword about from daily use. I'll probably replace it once I'm ready to redo the tsuka (I want to add a little bit of lead at the bottom of the tsuka to shift the balance point a little bit maybe 1/2" towards the tsuba) also the kashira is a tiny bit too big. I saw your frog bastard sword! nice!
