Oh wow! The Dragon King 2-handed Jian looks amazing: They list the thickness of that ricasso at 3/8"... almost a full cm! And the grip appears to be oval shaped Has anyone seen any antique jians with that type of blade, with its thick fullered ricasso?

Haven't seen antique two-handed jian with that kind of ricasso. Or any kind of ricasso. On jian, ricasso = Republican, or at least very late Qing (usually), and I haven't seen any Republican two-handed jian.

The Zhisword two-hander in similar style that I have is much bigger, about 57" total length, and about 900g heavier. It's the top one. The bottom one is a longsword-sized two-handed jian. Handles like an antique (i.e., similar to a European longsword, but lighter and more blade-heavy, because the pommel is lighter). Antiques usually have fittings like a normal jian, but larger, rather than funky fittings like this one.

Very interesting! Almost 52" long and weights only 2 lbs 5 oz. And the base of the blade is just over an inch wide.

Very interesting! Almost 52" long and weights only 2 lbs 5 oz. And the base of the blade is just over an inch wide. Even lighter than an Albion Knight. Even given the aggressive taper, it's very suspicious. Perhaps the listing was supposed to indicate 3 lbs? Though KoA is usually accurate about this. Makes me fear for the tang width.
