It's really snowy and cold where I live, so I can't do a whole lot with my sword right now. So when the weather's gross and cold, what do you do to keep yourself entertained during the winter?

I want to learn how to carve and engrave so I can keep myself busy.

I would build stuff too if I had the tools and materials (and skills ). Hopefully I'll get some good steel soon; I want to try to learn how to make knives.

Thanks Brian, I'm working on some scabbards but I know I won't be any threat to you.

I swing my swords inside, sometimes with scabbard on sometimes without.

Cold and gross weather? I don’t know the meaning of that. I live in Costa Rica. Hehe. To echo Brian, nice work Gunnar.

Cool projects Gunnar.
For outdoor winter activities, cross-country skiing is great.

Enjoy the respite from the heat of the Ozzy summer and go hunting as much as I can! And do all those hot grinding and metal jobs I can't do during summer! I wish we could have snow !

Winter is typically when I do blade work. Running a forge in the summer gets real hot in a hurry. I typically do a lot of work on computers when it's summer because it's not as physically demanding and I can't stand hot weather.
