Needed a stand for my new Katana so had a client create one. It looks pretty nice to me ... going to have him add some relief carving soon, just need to decide on the motif ... thinking of dragons, serpents, and Koy. Your thoughts? |

Please don't take this the wrong way, your woodworking is beautiful. But if I had your skill I would try to make a design not seen before...but I don't so I have no room to talk. It's just that design it just about the only one you see...and I would would like to see some more unique stands. Once again I would be honored to display that in my sword room...not trying to be negative.

The design is like others out there for sure, but I didn't create it, a client of mine designed it based upon photos I showed him of stands. It is certainly of better quality than the commercial stands ... made of English Walnut, wood stained, and very sturdy. The impressive part will be the relief carving portion, but I'm still deciding on that; just thought I'd show it as is for now.
