Hi, I've been researching materials, vendors, and different styles of swords for the last 2 weeks. I've come down to: Huawei of eBay, and Zombie Tools (Diphos or Big Bad Wolf).
I can't decide!
I want something incredibly sturdy, and forgiving. I'm partial to katana and its beauty. However, I want something built like a tank. I won't really mind if I have to take care of the blade and all the fittings.
I don't really do any cutting at the moment, but that doesn't mean I won't in the future. I do not plan on chopping trees down, but, I like the idea behind Zombie Tools being able to cut lumber (lol).
My budget is around $650, however, if the item is really, REALLY, worth it, I can jump to $750. I like quality, but I know I'm not going to get absolute perfect with my price range.
Disclaimer: Please don't give me a long condescending warning about the maturity of owning a sharp tool/weapon. I may not be under a teacher, nor, very skilled with them, however, I have owned many sharp tools, and due to my childhood, and the way Hollywood presented the katana, I have quite a few wall hangers, and one Paul Chen (Hanwei now) katana that I've owned for a little over a decade.

"Built like a tank" and "katana" are mutually exclusive imho, so I'd fir sure take the ZT if toughness is the key factor

In a katana with a more traditional style build, you won't find the kind of toughness that a ZT will give you until you start looking at something like a Dan Keffeler CMP3V blade, and those are several thousand dollars apiece. The closest you will find is likely the Hanwei Raptor series. Luckily, these cost less than half your budget, so you could afford to buy a couple, or get one and spruce it up nice.

Thank you both for your opinions. Trying to decide between the Diphos and the Raptor now. lol

The Diphos can take more abuse, the Raptor (which one?) handles better. Just decide which you value more and go for it.
