Very nice, the guard is quite interesting. It can be seen more closely in some of the album pics. What's the blade thickness ?

Very nice! How did you construct the grip with the center ring?

Very nice! How did you construct the grip with the center ring? its 3 pieces, a top core, the solid ring, and a lower core.

I love it . Now where did you get the guard & pommel? . I have a mild suspicion due to the curved metal piece on the lower center of the guard . Pommel is VERY interesting - I don't see barrel pommels that often, and this one is nice . worked in collaberation with Mike Jia, the pommel was of my own design, ernie made a simmilar one for me in mild steel several yrs back

I have NOT seen that particular guard offered on Mike's page :). This would indicate that Mike has attained enough technology, and mfg infrastructure, to actually create custom items. I LOVE your latest creation - but the implication that Mike may be able to create fittings on demand, at an appropriate price point, is terrifingly GOOD. Thank you for sharing this.... and if Mike Jia is listening? I'm impressed. You may have very well created a total technology breakthrough in a field that has been fairly stagnant for 1000 years :). Hi Findlithui, unfortunately this will be one of the final custom bronze commissions I work on, at least for a while. Things just weren't adding up for my casting partners who had to deal with the sub par 3d printed casting material. For the foreseeable future, I'm only going to be offering the stainless steel fittings mass-produced in China. Maybe in a few years when the technology for 3d printed castable materials is more mature, I'll be able to offer custom bronze fittings again.

I would guess it's a H/T GSoW blade?
