It appears KoA again has models of Windlass U.S. Civil War swords they hadn`t stocked in months. Could Windlass execs have finally come to understand the utterly incomprehensible, revenue decimating folly of retailing exclusively through their two US subsidiaries and refusing to sell to other distributors? I like Windlass US Civ. war sabres, and I like KoA`s precise measurements. There`s absolutely no way I`d buy one of their swords from either Windlass owned retailer, with their grainy, small photos and measurements (when they give measurements) accurate to within 1/8" at best. Anyone have any distilled information for myself and anyone else wondering about this? Just saw the KoA site. Can`t search for info myself. It`s ten after four A.M.

While I havn't seen any official information, Windlass blades disappeared entirely from KOA for several months. A few months ago saw a return of a good many Euros and other Windlass blades to KOA so yes it appears they (Windlass) have returned to their former policy of selling through vendors. At present we don't see a return to the scores of vendors selling Windlass, only a select few. Whether that is due to Windlass having burned so many bridges or they just want to vend through a select few is a matter of conjecture.
