While scouring the net for Bolton eagle pommel swords, I happened upon this site www.uptonenterprises.ca/About-Us_ep_7.htmlThe swords appear to be of the same calibre as those from Empire Costume and Military Heritage. Posting this up as it may interest Canadians not wanting to deal with the shipping issues. Thoughts about his supplier(s) are welcome. The bluing seems identical as the stuff coming from Empire Costume. I am now wondering if this fellow shares the same source supplier as David at Royal Sword. Hmmm strange days. A bit pricier. The Bolton eagle pommel superior (at first glance) compared to Universal Swords Osborn (weeper)

They present an interesting sales pitch, too bad they don't follow up with some measurements and weights in the descriptions. I'd be more interested if they described the blade geometry and temper rather than focusing so much on esthetic elements like etching and blueing, etc.

I've never heard of them before. But if they have stayed out of the rep market and are old school that's no surprise. Claims of being to close to authentic bothers me, as I've yet to deal with any vendor who carried a rep with a decent taper.
I sent them an email and asked for more background.

I got an auto email comeback from the system saying the contact line on the site is not functional, but the data is going forward as a item order (?) Haven't heard anything back. Under the circumstances I have no intention of sticking my neck out there. Awaiting some other brave soul biting the bullet. :)

Hrm, I don't want to get burned with US quality Indian nonsense, but it looks interesting. Certainly closer than M. Gunhuit.

Just got a blast from the past. Franklin Mint once sold a ,, blued and gilded sword''. Turned out that the blue and gild were printed on foil, like a sticker. I pass.
