Has anyone heard anything about these? They look to be a good deal for a cutlass type machete. I like the look of it a lot better than the cold steel cutlass machete. These seem to be in the same production line as the Sinbad Scimitar, the Tactana, the bush cutlass, and the Dadao, all of which are very well made weapons. Has anyone handled one? I think these are the blades from the bush cutlass, but have a higher quality handle.

Never handled, but if it's condor it's good.

Budk is probably the best place to get this cutlass. I'm sad because I missed out on a 30% off plus free shipping which brought it down to $60. O well, it'll come back around. The specs on this look great for this sword type. Good size, weight, and balance.

Outside of myself there's several youtube reviews that can attest to condor quality. They take a heat treatment seriously for damn sure. I'd recommend this based totally on their consumer support. I think knifecenter offers a deal on this knife, or at least they did. Either way you can't go wrong.

I've been looking at it as well. Even though it looks pretty nice I decided to go with the Cold Steel cutlass machete. The Condor is 4x more expensive. The cost difference looks justified, but I plan on customizing the Cold Steel by cutting the polymer off of the D-Guard and welding a more complete guard to it. This will bring the balance point back closer to the hilt, and for $25 I'll have a nice beater sword for practicing cutlass techniques and cutting brush.

I have the cold Steel cutlass machete, but it required quite a bit of work out of the box. With some work, it can be better balanced, but I think the condor is a better deal. I'd like to see what you come up with using the cold steel. Make sure to post your project

Good time to get this from budk. 30% off, and the shipping cost isn't bad. It comes out to about $70
