Just finished up building a 1in spring fullering wish me luck on using it. Every have tried to forge a fuller in on any thing. This should be fun. Pictures to follow. If this one works out ok I will be building a lot of them 1/4in 3/8in, 1/2in,5/8in,3/4in, 7/8in and 1 1/4in. think they will be all the sizes I will need.
Come on buy more so I can afford to get a hyduclic forging press to do fuller with.
A couple of nice large bowie, coming soon, a long with 3 smaller boweis and a doudle edge blade. Have to wait until the sheathes are make before they go up for sale. If you need a good bowie these will up soon. Don't see anything you like, I can make one to suite you. help a poor old man out make my work easier to do.

I see no picture of a spring fullering tool, therefor it must not exist. Such is the rule of the internets

... I'll have to edit this post when the pics are posted, but I think it's funny in the interim.

I've thought about making something like this. Maybe not the same way you did (because I can't see it) but still a fuller tool.

What you don't believe a liar like me, going to make you suffer without a picture for at least one more day. Forgot to take it yesterday.

I can lose something no matter what size it is, surprised I haven't lost my anvils a few times.

Or hit it with a bigger hammer. I will make the next one longer and won't use as thick as metal. I was worried about it not springing back, it is a fairly close fit on 1/4in steel bar. Just hoping it will work, I might find out this weekend.

Does one need different sizes of these things to make fullers of different widths?

Yes you do as far as I know, but they don't cost much to make. I will be making some more in 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 and 1 1/4in. Just hope I will be able to use them right. If I ever get a power hammer I will have to make more to go with it.
